For 135 years, The Ferndale Enterprise has been the paper of record for the historic Victorian Village and surrounding areas. The award-winning publication – one of the smallest in California, we might add – covers Ferndale like a blanket with news of the dairy industry, city politics, hard-hitting editorials, school news, old-fashioned social columns, art news and sports stories, as well as features on locals that make the Cream City such a unique place to call home.
While Ferndale may be the hub of our area, we don’t neglect our neighbors who trek into town from the Bear and Mattole River Valleys. Our columnists “from the hills” also are a big part of our newspaper, keeping all of us informed of the “goings on” in the outlying areas.
The Ferndale Enterprise is “all about us” – us being the community we live and work in and are proud to call home. We’re also extremely proud of our more than 30 state and national awards from the National Newspaper Association as well the California Newspapers Publishers Association.
And, for advertisers, we are extremely proud of the almost 100 percent penetration rate we hold in our town. As we like to tell the hundreds of advertisers who do business with us, “If you want to reach Ferndale, it’s through The Enterprise!”
It’s easy to subscribe to The Enterprise and get your dose of this unique community every week. Just click on “Subscribe” and learn how. Your readership is much appreciated and we feel honored to carry on the tradition of The Ferndale Enterprise. Please remember, we always appreciate your ideas and comments.
